After celebrating our nation's independence this Fourth of July weekend, it's a fitting time to look back at another celebration from this past May; National Maritime Day, when we honored the maritime community that has helped shape America since its founding.
America's story has always been connected to the water. For generations, mariners, shipbuilders, port workers, and maritime professionals have helped build, protect, and sustain our nation. As we celebrate America's 250th anniversary, it's the perfect time to recognize the people who continue that legacy every day.
We are grateful to everyone who joined the Norfolk Propeller Club in May as we celebrated our maritime community, honored those who serve our industry, and remembered the mariners who have gone before us.
